separated the combatants at game's end. The Caracas Leones won by the
slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
Caracas scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th inning. After an out
was recorded, David Wright delivered a solo blast (his 11th of the season).
Caracas and Langley each finished the afternoon with 10 hits.
John Halama(5-3) went 4 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Halama
got help from Keith Foulke who earned his 21st save. Justin Speier(3-1) took
the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 2 hits and no
walks.
Caracas extended their winning streak to 6 games.
